James Evans, Head of Operations at Portsmouth International Port joins the Coastlink 2024 speaker line up, ready to discuss the port’s new Sea Change project and the latest innovations with Shore Power.
James will join the conference on Day 2, Thursday 25th April during the session 3 panel discussion ‘Shore Power – Overcoming the barriers to infrastructure and delivery’.
With over 30 year’s experience exclusively in the maritime sector, James has extensive knowledge of the ports industry. Focussing on coordinating complex operations and trade requirements, James is responsible for managing stakeholder needs from the ports main ferry and cruise customers and key suppliers, as well as the delivery of shore-side operations to ensure the port continues to meet industry standards and deliver a high-quality service.
Portsmouth International Port have been awarded £19.8m as part of the ‘Sea Change’ project, which will see the design, build and operation of a ‘shore power’ system across the three busiest berths at the port.
James added “I am looking forward to representing Portsmouth International Port and its Sea Change partners at Coastlink and having the opportunity to highlight the challenges the team have had to identify and overcome so far, on our industry leading project”.
