Herve Geraud, Onshore Power Supply Expert, HAROPA Port, setting the scene with a presentation on the electrification of HAROPA Port, including a look at cruise terminals and equipment. As the 5th largest port complex in Northern Europe, their strategic project aims to reduce emissions from cruise activity by electrifying all cruise docks. By 2026, the port wants to electrify all cruise docks to achieve ‘zero fumes’.
Roland Teixeria MRICS 6σ, President, EOPSA will cover their strategy with a focus on the business case and bankability of OPS, converging energy maritime and port experts to create a versatile, financially viable model, featuring Cherbourg Port Microgrid.
PowerCon will share insights into scaling customised shore power using standardised modules to create customised shore power solutions for ports worldwide. Born out of the highly renowned Danish wind power sector, PowerCon’s products are not only used in the wind turbine industry, but also in the maritime sector where the company continues to be a front runner within shore power.
Martin Tiling, Head of Shore Power, IGUS will look into solving the connection dilemma, and using best practices from the Port of Hamburg becoming Europe’s shore power pioneer. They will explore the technical details and ecological benefits of our shore power solutions for the Port of Hamburg.
