Port of Le Havre

During this visit, delegates saw the diversity of port activities and the different types of vessels : oil tankers, ore carriers, container ships, pilot boats, tugs, supply ships, etc.

It was an opportunity to see the diversity of port infrastructures, such as the Screen Wall, the François 1er lock, the Southampton Quay in the heart of Le Havre, where Vincent Ganivet’s container arch has been installed, and the Malraux Museum.

At the end of the tour, delegates watched the liners in port and admired Le Havre from the sea as they passed along the beach.

Visit Port 2000

Inaugurated in 2006, this wharf is entirely dedicated to containers. Constantly evolving, it continues to expand and accommodate ever larger vessels.

CMA CGM Bougainville Mol Triumph, etc. are some of the largest container ships in the world to be seen in the port facilities of Le Havre. You will pass along the Normandy, Ocean Gate and the France terminals, where the containers are loaded and unloaded. You’ll get a close-up look at how containers are handled by stevedores, from the ships to the quayside, as well as the service boats that dock these giants of the seas.

At the end of the tour, delegates had a privileged view of the cruise ship in port and admired Le Havre from the sea.
