Coastlink have released the 2024 Provisional Programme with a speaker line-up including Samskip, Maersk, Toepfer Transport Gmbh and the Port of Bilbao.
Taking place at the Port of Amsterdam from 24-25 April, the Coastlink Conference is set to welcome a host of speakers offering insight, knowledge, and expertise discussing the latest in short sea and feeder shipping, plus intermodal transport routes and sustainable logistics.
The Conference will begin with a welcome address from the host of the 2024 conference, the Port of Amsterdam. As the fourth largest port in Northwest Europe, Amsterdam port is a leading player in the international world of transport and logistics and will bring a plethora of knowledge and industry experience to the event.
Day 1 will welcome keynote addresses from the following experts:
- Andima Ormaetxe, Director for Operations, Commercial and Logistics, Port of Bilbao
- Johan-Paul Verschuure, Director, Rebel Ports & Logistics
- Kari-Pekka Laaksonen, Group CEO, Samskip
The session, ‘Green corridors – collaboration to drive sustainable growth’ will directly follow the key note addresses. Moderated by Richard Ballantyne OBE, Chief Executive of the British Ports Association and will welcome Victoria Oppenheim, Commercial Director - TMA Logistics and Eleni Bougioukou, Innovation Manager - Energy and Sustainability, Port of Tyne. Delegates will learn from our expert speakers as they highlight the need for clear collaboration in the implementation of green corridors, with the strategic aim of supporting the transition to carbon zero emissions.
Day 1 will close with the conference dinner and port tour. Organised by the Port of Amsterdam the tour will include exclusive access to the 1,200 hectares port aboard the ship ‘Het Wapen van Amsterdam’ - the largest salon boat still sailing in Amsterdam and its surroundings.
Day 2 will tackle the key subject of ‘Ports As Enablers – Facilitating The Energy Transition For Shipping & The Supply Chain’ with Pavan Chhabra, Head of Hubs - Europe, Maersk, Maurice Delattre, Area Manager, Port of Amsterdam and Patrick Walison, Senior Consultant, Royal HaskoningDHV .
