GreenPort Congress Oceania, hosted by Port of Newcastle will take place in Newcastle, Australia. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Identifying practicable options for port sustainability’.
The conference provides decision makers from the port community - port authorities, terminal operators, shipping lines, logistics operators - with a meeting place to both learn about and discuss the latest in sustainable development and environmental practice to enable them to effectively implement the changes needed to reduce their carbon footprint and to be more sensitive to environmental considerations.
This inaugural conference will cover a range of themes including the Climate Change – Mitigation and adaptation for climate challenges within ports, Green logistics: multimodal supply chains, Pathway to sustainable ports and Net Zero Carbon Cruising.
