MSC launches Gothenburg-Asia service

MSC, the world’s largest container shipping company, has launched a new direct service between the Port of Gothenburg and key Asian markets

Starting this week, MSC vessels with a capacity of over 15,000 teu will operate weekly, connecting Gothenburg to ports in China, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.

The inaugural vessel, MSC Auriga, arrived at port on 6 April. After unloading and loading, it will depart for major Asian ports, reaching new and growing markets such as Vietnam and Thailand.
