European ports are urging the European Commission to strengthen the Connecting Europe Facility, a vital funding instrument for transport infrastructure

The European Sea Ports Organisation argues that CEF is essential for creating a seamless European Transport Network, crucial for enhancing the internal market and improving military preparedness.

ESPO contends that shifting transport investments to national single plans undermines European coordination, risking a fragmented approach reminiscent of policies from the 1980s.
