Norbert Grech has studied extensively in both Malta and the UK, as demonstrated by his professional and diverse experience. His expertise spans technical, engineering, operations, and management, with key achievements including a Foundation Technical & Engineering Diploma, a Management Diploma from the University of Henley Reading UK, and an MMBA in Understanding Petroleum Dynamics from EuroMoney London UK.
His work in the public sector and local industry has taught him a great deal, allowing him to build a solid rapport and network with many professionals across various sectors.
Beginning his career in 2000 at the global semiconductor organization STMicroelectronics, Norbert Grech spent over a decade exploring and cultivating expertise in hydrogen. In 2013, he transitioned to a role in the Ministry of the Government of Malta, where some of his most significant milestones included organizing HOGs’ events logistics and contributing to several policy creations.
Norbert’s personal milestones include key projects in 2017 and 2022. In 2017, he established, implemented, and developed the National Traffic Control Centre, proactively contributing to legislation and implementing the methodologies created, including budgeting and business development. In 2022, he led project management and coordination efforts for the HVSC Project, which involved onshore power supply and the development of the necessary electricity infrastructure for cruise liners, establishing the ship-to-shore unit.
