GreenPort Congress is a meeting place for the port community to discuss and learn the latest in sustainable environmental practice. It offers ways to reduce their carbon foot print and be more sensitive to environmental considerations, both of which are vital to future success.	The Green Ports & Shipping Congress will identify and prioritise the areas that ports-based organisations and shipping companies need to collaborate on to reduce emissions.	Coastlink is a neutral pan-European network dedicated to the promotion of short sea and feeder shipping, and the intermodal transport networks through the ports that support the sector. It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss future innovation, economic and environmental considerations – and develop partnerships that will help build a sustainable future.

The 2014 GreenPort Congress, GreenPort Cruise Conference, Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner will all be located in and around the Port of Barcelona. The Tour of Barcelona will take place on 17 October 2014.

The GreenPort Congress and GreenPort Cruise Conference 2014 will be held at the World Trade Centre (WTC), Barcelona. Located in the Port Vell (Old Port) and surrounded by the Mediterranean sea, next to the historic and commercial centre of the city, the WTC is just 15 minutes by taxi from the airport at El Prat.

The WTC also accommodates the head quarters of the Port Authority of Barcelona and Barcelona's Cruise Terminal is adjacent to the World Trade Centre, making it the perfect location for this year's GreenPort events.

The Welcome Reception for the GreenPort Congress will be held at the Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel, located in the World Trade Centre complex in the Port Vell (Old Port) on the evening of 14 October 2014. Hosted by the Port of Barcelona, delegates at the GreenPort Cruise will also be invited to attend giving participants the opportunity to network with professionals from port authorities and the port stakeholders and users that will be in attendance.

Hosted by the Port of Barcelona, the GreenPort Congress 2014 Gala Dinner will be held at the Museu Maritim de Barcelona (Barcelona Maritime Museum), which is located approximately 500 metres from the World Trade Centre, the venue for this year's GreenPort Congress and GreenPort Cruise conference. Taking place on the evening of 15 October 2014, the first day of the GreenPort Congress, the Gala Dinner will give delegates the opportunity to continue networking in a relaxed environment and to make acquaintances, old and new.

The Tour of the Port of Barcelona will take place on 17 October 2014 and is open to attendees at the Greenport Congress.
