Mercator Media upgrades magazines and conferences brands

February 2018 Fareham UK - Mercator Media Ltd, the international, market-leading B2B marine media business, has just completed a comprehensive redesign of all its multi-media magazines. All channels, print, online, e-News, new media, have been updated and new functionality has been added to the websites. Mercator’s industry–sector conferences have also received the upgrade treatment.

Mercator creates and distributes business-critical information for the specialist sector audiences it serves; Ports and Terminals, Ships Engineering, Commercial Marine, Commercial Fishing and Leisure Marine. The upgrade delivers this information via an easy-to use contemporary environment and creates a common design theme across all the brands, making them easier to identify as Mercator Media Ltd services.

Central to the added website functionality are the innovative, new online industry databases for each of the sectors served. Each industry database enables suppliers and buyers in that sector to showcase their company competencies in a multi-media format together with their web and new media links. Audiences are provided with a comprehensive easily-searchable resource that gives them a complete overview of organisations and enables them to compare and contrast their capabilities.

Much of the design work has been completed by the in-house team. It is a clear demonstration of the level of skill within Mercator which can also be used by and for the benefit of clients. The website and e-Newsletter development was carried out in conjunction with Mercator’s long-term online collaborators, Squiz UK.

Andrew Webster, CEO of Mercator Media, said, “The investment clearly demonstrates Mercator’s commitment to servicing the commercial marine business sphere and its specialist client base. The branding upgrade enhances the business-critical content written by our award-winning journalists and gives our audiences a first-class business information resource to help them run their businesses more easily.”
