EU Onshore Power Funding

The EU is investing €18.8 million in four North European ports—Aarhus, Gothenburg, Bremerhaven, and Stockholm—to implement onshore power for container ships by 2030.

This initiative supports new regulations mandating ships over 5000 gross tonnage to use grid electricity while moored, marking a significant step towards sustainable shipping and reduced emissions.
