Efforts to promote the Middle Corridor route, a vital trade link between Asia and Europe, are yielding significant results, with APM Terminals Poti in Georgia at the forefront of these developments

Over the past 18 months, improvements at Poti have enhanced container rail transit, slashing transit times and boosting efficiency.

As a result, cargo traffic along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route has surged, with 2024 figures showing a 63% increase in cargo volume to 4.1 million tonnes. Container traffic along the route more than doubled, rising 2.6 times to 50,500 teu.
