The latest Seafarers Happiness Index highlights declining seafarer morale due to restrictive port policies, poor port access and limited shore leave opportunities.

Published by the Mission to Seafarers, the Q4 2024 report revealed shore leave restrictions as a key factor impacting seafarer welfare, with inadequate port facilities and limited transport options leaving many feeling isolated and frustrated.
