Port of Salalah plans US$300m upgrade

The APM Terminals-operated Port of Salalah has invested US$300 million in a major expansion to enhance its role as a key hub in global shipping

The upgrade at the Omani port includes improvements to all six existing berths, a yard expansion and essential infrastructure projects.

The port’s capacity will increase from 4.5 million teu to 6.5 million teu, positioning it as a key link connecting the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and east Africa.
