The Port of Oakland has begun a major upgrade of Berths 55–59, aimed at enhancing infrastructure to accommodate ultra-large container vessels and support the transition to shore power and zero-emissions operations

As part of the project, ShibataFenderTeam has designed and delivered 96 Cone Fender systems (SPC 1300, G2.7) equipped with closed-box panels (3050 x 4270 mm) and UHMW-PE pads.

In addition, 85 double bitt bollards with 200-tonne capacity and 15 T-Head bollards capable of withstanding 300 tonnes have been installed to support heavy mooring loads.
