The Port of Nigg in Scotland is to receive up to £10 million in government funding to build a new heavy-duty quay capable of handling RoRo trade

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) has approved the funding which will support the development of the port’s Inner East Quay, increasing capacity and capabilities at the port and attracting new investment.

HIE’s investment forms part of the Scottish government’s commitment to invest up to £500m over five years to develop the nation’s offshore wind supply chain.
