FIT extends concession, improves service

Florida International Terminal has extended its concession until 2035 and made significant progress in innovations to improve service

New technologies and operational efficiency measures include state-of-the-art container handling equipment from Taylor Machine Works along with accident and collision prevention technology from Strata Worldwide.

Among the milestones celebrated by the terminal last year was the reception of four Super Post Panamax cranes for Port Everglades, as well as new vessel services from Ocean Network Express, COSCO, CMA CGM and Maersk Line.
