ABP boosts military sea mounting capability

Associated British Ports (ABP) has entered into a new strategic relationship agreement with the UK’s Ministry of Defence (MOD), enhancing the flexibility and resilience of the armed forces’ sea mounting capabilities

The agreement provides the MOD with access to ABP’s extensive network of ports across the UK, allowing for the loading and unloading of military hardware at no additional cost to the original Port of Marchwood contract.

ABP is investing £100 million in upgrading Marchwood’s infrastructure, including jetty improvements that will significantly increase its capacity for both defence and commercial activities.
