The Hairun container terminal at Xiamen Port in east China has been fully electrified, reducing the port’s energy consumption and emissions

The terminal in Fujian Province began its upgrade and reconstruction project in 2020, acting as a pilot to explore the feasibility of a full-port green transformation.

The port says the transformation has greatly reduced operational costs.
