Porto Itapoá in Brazil is set to begin Phase Four of its expansion, a project expected to cost R$500 million (US$88.44 million) over the next year

Located in Babitonga Bay, Santa Catarina, the terminal aims to solidify its position among Brazil’s top four ports and evolve into the largest and most efficient terminal in South America by 2033.

The expansion includes the acquisition of an eighth container crane and plans to extend the wharf by 400 metres to accommodate three large ships simultaneously.
