Nigerian terminal upgrade boosts trade

APM Terminals has completed a significant US$115 million upgrade at the West Africa Container Terminal (WACT) in Onne, Nigeria, enhancing its service delivery and positioning it as a leading trade hub in the region

This investment, aimed at modernising port infrastructure, will bolster Nigeria’s economy by improving operational efficiency, attracting more vessels and supporting increased trade flows.

Key upgrades include expanded yard space, new mobile harbour cranes, rubber-tyred gantries and advanced cargo handling equipment.
