Four bids for València container quay construction

The new container terminal promises to combine technology, eco-efficiency, intermodality and sustainability, helping boost the regional and national economy and guarantee international connectivity.

PAV says it will boost jobs in the local area and reinforce the status of Spain’s ports as a European benchmark in the Mediterranean arc.

The new terminal will be located in the sheltered waters of the northern extension which was completed in 2012. It will have a surface area of around 137 hectares and 1,970 metres of berthing line, with a capacity to hold five million containers.

The terminal will have state-of-the-art design, technology and equipment, with a fully electrified facility, enabling it to handle large container ships.
