APMT chooses Konecranes automation at Rotterdam

APM Terminals Maasvlakte II has selected Konecranes to implement an extensive Automated Horizontal Transport System as part of its ambitious expansion project at the Port of Rotterdam

This significant order, placed in Q3 2024, aims to double the terminal’s capacity, with delivery and commissioning expected to start in 2025.

Spanning 180 hectares, Maasvlakte II features a 2,000-metre deep-sea quay and a 500-metre barge quay. The expansion project is designed to enhance global logistics efficiency.
