APM Terminals extends Aqaba partnership
APM Terminals has extended its concession with the Aqaba Container Terminal in Jordan for a further 15 years
An investment of approximately US$42 million is part of the extended partnership with development plans including solar energy to reduce emissions and help the terminal reach net zero by 2040.
The terminal has delivered a steady, high productivity with a record high throughput of more than 898,000 teu in 2023, an increase of 5.4% compared to the previous year.
