The National Transportation Safety Board preliminary report found Dali experienced two blackouts a day before the catastrophic loss of power that resulted in collision with the Baltimore bridge.

This isn’t the first time it has experienced an accident, in 2016 significant hull damage was caused grazing a quay while departing the Belgian port of Antwerp.

These past issues should be put into perspective against the wider picture of only two recorded deficiencies in approximately eight years, alongside 27 Port State Control (PSC) inspections.
