Siti Noraini Zaini, IBIA Regional Manager, Asia, will be presenting in the Collaborative Projects session.
IBIA is a supporter of the event and Siti will be covering the work that IBIA and Green Marine have been undertaking, working together with the crew from the supplying tanker and the bunker surveyors involved in the methanol bunkering pilot in Singapore, identifying and plugging the training gaps and competency needs prior to the pilot.
Siti joined IBIA in July 2022 after more than 10 years with the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA).
At SSA, Siti managed stakeholders’ engagements and was the Secretary of the various Committees and Sub-Committees, including the SSA Marine Fuels Committee where she led and develop various initiatives such as the MPA-SSA IMO 2020 Conference, and most recently, an information pack on the Biofuels Bunkering in the Port of Singapore.
Siti holds a degree in Naval Architecture/Offshore Engineering with Newcastle University (UK) and a Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law and Arbitration from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
IBIA is the voice of the global bunker industry and represents stakeholders across the industry value chain. IBIA promotes improved standards, knowledge and understanding in the industry. It also advocates for effective, pragmatic and workable regulations and has consultative status as a non-governmental organisation at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and attends all meetings of the IMO’s Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) and the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC).
Formed in 1992, it now has members in more than 70 countries.
