Coastlink is a neutral pan-European network dedicated to the promotion of short sea and feeder shipping, and the intermodal transport networks through the ports that support the sector. It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss future innovation, economic and environmental considerations – and develop partnerships that will help build a sustainable future. Newcastle coal king
The Australian port of Newcastle has confirmed its place as the top coal port in the world, exporting more than 90m tonnes of coal in 2008/09. The value of the exports rose by more than a third to A$17bn (US$14.2bn)
