Labour relations fair to middling
Labour relations have traditionally been much better in the Gulf than the West Coast, which is one of the reasons for the popularity of the Panama Canal route. However, these have been called into question with the threatened International Longshoremen’s Association strike throughout the Gulf and East Coast.
