Stavros Hatzakos, president of the new Cruise and Ferry Port Network, will give the keynote address at the 3rd GreenPort Cruise Conference on 6 October 2015 in Copenhagen.
The Cruise and Ferry Port Network (CFPN) met for the first time in Brussels, Belgium in January 2015. Formed as part of the European Sea Port Organisation (ESPO), the CFRN is led by president Stavros Hatzakos, who is also the general manager of Piraeus Port Authority and honorary president of MedCruise. The network brings together the association of European seaport authorities, Cruise Baltic, Cruise Europe, Cruise Norway, MedCruise and Cruise Britain.
Sessions at the GreenPort Cruise Conference will include:
- ECA Compliance: LNG fuel swithicing,scrubbers, OPS – the ongoing debate for working with the 0.1% sulphur regulations
- Dealing with waste from cruise ships
- Innovative cruise ship terminal designs
- Panel discussion between cruise industry stakeholders on working together to overcome issues surrounding increasing passenger numbers

Following the GreenPort Cruise Conference, the GreenPort Congress Welcome Reception, will take place at 18:30 at Copenhagen City Hall, which will be hosted by Copenhagen Malmo Port. Places at the Cruise Conference include an invitation to the Welcome Reception.
