Tackling cruise waste management issues

The Port Authority of New South Wales (NSW) has significantly reduced waste management costs for tenants at the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) in Circular Quay by installing a cutting-edge waste disposal compactor.

This new compactor, introduced as part of a sustainability initiative, is designed to minimise waste volume, leading to fewer waste collection pickups and thereby lowering associated costs and carbon emissions.
