South Korea completes first ship-to-ship methanol bunkering

South Korea has successfully conducted its first simultaneous operations for ship-to-ship methanol bunkering at Busan New Port

This groundbreaking operation on 4 October supplied approximately 3,000 tonnes of methanol over an 11-hour period during cargo unloading at Terminal 2.

This initiative is part of South Korea’s broader plan to develop an eco-friendly ship fuel supply chain, announced in November 2023.
