The use of shorepower in prominent ports worldwide is driving growth with the market projected to be worth more than US$6 billion by 2034, an annual growth rate of 11.4% from 2025 to 2034

Several factors are driving the expansion including the growing regulatory constraint on the shipping industry to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and the surging demand for renewable energy.

Market size is expected to continue to expand owing to quicker ship turnaround times and sanctions placed by ports on ships which continue to use onboard generators whilst at port.
