Savannah Port unveils new electric cranes

The Port of Savannah has welcomed four new electric ship-to-shore cranes, enhancing its capabilities to handle the growing demands of global trade

These cranes, designed by Konecranes and delivered on 25 January, bring the total number of Super Post Panamax cranes at Ocean Terminal to eight.

The new additions will allow Ocean Terminal to handle two vessels simultaneously once all cranes are fully commissioned, boosting efficiency and increasing the port’s capacity.
