Port of Felixstowe electrifies its gantry cranes

Hutchison Ports’ Port of Felixstowe has received its latest delivery of Automated electric Rubber-Tyred Gantry cranes (AeRTGs), marking a significant step forward in the port’s electrification efforts.

The five new cranes, which include remote-control capabilities, are part of a 17-crane order from Konecranes of Finland, reflecting the port’s commitment to modernising its equipment and reducing carbon emissions.
