Source: North Sea Port is actively promoting the production of alternative fuels as a business strategy.

North Sea Port and Ghent-based Terra Mater are collaborating with Petrom to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and basic chemicals for Brazil.

Under the agreement, Petrom, the Brazilian petrochemical group, will supply Terra Mater with the necessary bio-based raw materials to produce SAF for five years.
