The Green Ports & Shipping Congress will identify and prioritise the areas that ports-based organisations and shipping companies need to collaborate on to reduce emissions. Coastlink is a neutral pan-European network dedicated to the promotion of short sea and feeder shipping, and the intermodal transport networks through the ports that support the sector. It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss future innovation, economic and environmental considerations – and develop partnerships that will help build a sustainable future. Latin America’s first electric tug launches
Latin America’s first electric tug has officially launched at the Sanmar shipyard in Tuzla Bay, Istanbul
The vessel, which marks a significant milestone in the region’s commitment to sustainable maritime operations, is set to arrive in Chile following an agreement signed earlier this year between Empresa Nacional del Petróleo and SAAM.
Designed by Robert Allan and built at Sanmar’s facilities, the 25m tug has a bollard pull capacity of over 70 tonnes and fully electric propulsion.
