Jersey looks to advance its alternative fuels expertise

Ports of Jersey has announced a unique marine hydrogen internship in partnership with OceansLab, offering hands-on experience in hydrogen technologies and alternative fuels within the maritime industry.

The partnership with OceansLab, a marine hydrogen accelerator founded by yachtsman Phil Sharp, aims to explore hydrogen fuel-cell technology for port infrastructure and vessels, including ferries, tugs and cargo ships.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to foster innovation and support a net-zero future.
