Indian partnership will expand shorepower reach

Gateway Terminals India, also known as APM Terminals Mumbai, has inked a shorepower deal with the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority to further promote the use of greener power in the region

Initially, the shorepower facility will be provided from the national grid but, once established, the port may use open access to buy green power for shore power purposes.

The supply will be enabled for two ships simultaneously, eliminating the use of diesel at the port and also helping reduce noise pollution.
