Germany urged to expand its offshore wind ports

The German Offshore Wind Energy Association (BWO) is calling on the Bundestag to invest from a planned €500 billion fund into port infrastructure for renewable energy and offshore wind expansion.

BWO emphasises that improved port infrastructure is vital for Germany’s energy transition and security policy. Ports’ heavy-duty areas are essential for offshore wind development and military use.
