Expediting electrification with floating solar power

Associated British Ports (ABP) has submitted plans for the UK’s largest floating solar power project, Barrow EnergyDock, advancing port electrification and renewable energy goals.

The proposed Barrow EnergyDock at the Port of Barrow will see solar panels deployed on floating pontoons in Cavendish Dock, generating up to 40MWp of solar power - enough to supply around 14,000 homes annually.
