The Green Ports & Shipping Congress will identify and prioritise the areas that ports-based organisations and shipping companies need to collaborate on to reduce emissions. Coastlink is a neutral pan-European network dedicated to the promotion of short sea and feeder shipping, and the intermodal transport networks through the ports that support the sector. It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss future innovation, economic and environmental considerations – and develop partnerships that will help build a sustainable future. EXCLUSIVE: Driving a comprehensive EU port strategy
The Commission is planning and preparing a “Comprehensive” EU Port Strategy which expresses its concerns about the Chinese stakes in Europe’s port terminals and hence addresses the foreign influence in strategic port infrastructure in Europe.
The Communication - a non-legislative text - that is in preparation is meant to be comprehensive - no less than 25 Directorate Generals of the Commission are involved in the making off this document, expected to be released by the end of this year.
