The contract for civil works and electrification of the APM Terminals Maasvlakte II (MVII) container terminal expansion in Rotterdam has been awarded to CareGo, a consortium comprising ABB, Dura Vermeer and GMB

The expansion, covering 51 hectares, will double the terminal’s capacity, transforming it into one of the most advanced fully automated container terminals globally.

Once complete, MVII will be a fully electrified, automated terminal capable of handling the world’s largest container ships.
