Barcelona’s first shore power for ferries

The Port of Barcelona’s first Onshore Power Supply (OPS) system for ferries has been installed at the Grimaldi terminal on Sant Bertran Wharf.

Set to launch in January 2025, the system will enable ferries to connect to 100% renewable electricity, cutting emissions and noise near the city centre.
