Barcelona celebrates first shore power system

Today (12 July) marks the official opening of the Port of Barcelona’s first ever onshore power supply (OPS) system.

The OPS, installed as part of the Nexigen plan, is the first electric power supply system for ships at a container terminal in a Mediterranean port.
