A step forward clean in charging for port vessels

Latent Drive has secured a GB£630,000 Innovate UK grant to trial its green hydrogen SeaStack technology, producing hydrogen directly from seawater without desalination or the need to use rare metals.

The HydroPort trial, hosted at Portland Port UK and supported by Dorset Council, will fuel a harbour patrol vessel using shore power. SeaStack’s innovative design could cut costs and emissions, supporting offshore renewables.
