The GreenPort Cruise & Congress Conference, now in its 12th year, was last held in October 2018 in Valencia, hosted by the Port of Valencia. Its goal is to provide decision makers from the port community - port authorities, terminal operators, shipping lines, logistics companies - with a meeting place to both learn about and discuss the latest in sustainable development and environmental practice to enable them to effectively implement the changes needed to reduce their carbon footprint and to be more sensitive to environmental considerations. In 2018 the conference attracted 180 attendees, including 98 port authorities, terminal operators and shipping lines representing 30 countries.
In 2019 we will see the next edition of GreenPort Cruise & Congress Conference take place in Oslo, Norway from 16-18 October, introducing streams for Cruise & Congress complemented by joint plenary sessions.
This year’s conference will cover a range of themes including high tech green solutions, multimodal supply chains, zero emissions solutions for ports, terminals and cities, increasing efficiency and cutting costs.
