Chennai commits investment
Chennai Port Trust will invest € 267m ($361.2m) over the next two to three years as throughput in the last financial year rose 13%. Half of this investment will be spent on a new dedicated elevated expressway linking the port with National Highway 4.

Traffic slowing at Shanghai

Colombo South on schedule
The Colombo South expansion project is on schedule to open on time, according to Sri Lankan Port authority chairman Saliya Wickramasuriya. The breakwater is alone is costing $400m, as will the first container terminal to be built in the new area.
