The Welcome Reception of this year’s GreenPort Congress was opened last night by Marc Van Peel, vice mayor of Antwerp and president of the Antwerp Port Authority.
Delegates gathered at the Leyszaal in the city’s Town Hall to get acquainted with the event’s participants.
Hosted by the Port of Antwerp, Mercator Media’s eighth GreenPort Congress will see port authorities, terminal operators, shipping lines, logistics companies and suppliers come together to discuss the latest in sustainable environmental practice.
A two-day technical conference takes place today and tomorrow, followed by the Gala Dinner and a tour of the port, which will be held on Friday 11 October.
